Nina Carelli is a New York City based makeup and SFX artist, specializing in the intersection of beauty makeup and transformative custom prosthetics. Earning an illustration degree from SVA, her dedication to drawing and painting eventually gravitated towards a career in makeup, and in 2019 earned a degree from Makeup Designory NYC in special effects.
She has established her craft working within the entertainment industry, primarily in film and with musicians creating notable album art, music videos and live performace looks. Her work has been featured on magazine covers (The Wire, F*cking Young!, Glam Cult, Crack Magazine, and more). She has also worked in collaboration with established visual artists via The Whitney Museum, Pace Gallery, Park Avenue Armory, Performance Space NY, The Kitchen, and Powerhouse Arts (all in NYC), as well as The Renaissance Society (Chicago).
Her capabilities include clean beauty, corrective makeup, grooming, skincare, full glam, body painting, advanced prosthetic application, injury simulation, silicone mold making, and is available for personalized consultations upon request.
